Is Roblox Down Right Now? Live Platform Status

Checking Roblox's biggest games…

BloxStatus pulls live player counts for the 12 most played Roblox games every two minutes and probes the public servers of the top three, one shared check for all visitors. 5,904,837 players were online across the 1,035 games we track at the last snapshot (Oct 25, 2026). If Roblox itself is down, every row below turns red at once.

One pass through Roblox's games API from our edge, shared by every visitor (cached 120 s). Server count and ping are probed for the top three only, since Roblox throttles that endpoint. "No players" on one game means it is updating or private; on many games at once it means Roblox is down.

What the signals mean

Online: Roblox reports players in the game right now. No players: Roblox reports zero players, which for a top-12 game only happens during updates, when it goes private or under review, and during platform outages. No servers: the server probe returned an empty list even though a count was reported, usually a game mid-restart. API error: Roblox's games API itself did not answer, the clearest sign of a platform-level problem.

Roblox runs on its own data centres plus cloud regions; a partial outage often hits one region, so some players see error 277 while others play normally. Our ping column is the average reported by sampled servers, so a sudden jump across every game points to network trouble on Roblox's side.

Quick fixes when Roblox won't load

  1. Check the table above. If every game is green, the problem is local: restart the Roblox app, then your router.
  2. On PC, close Roblox fully (tray icon too) and relaunch from the website so the client updates.
  3. Turn off VPNs and proxies; Roblox blocks many VPN ranges.
  4. Clear the Roblox app cache on mobile, or reinstall if the app version is old.
  5. If the table is red across the board, wait. Nothing on your end fixes a platform outage.

Frequently asked questions

Is Roblox down right now?

The panel above asks Roblox for the live player count of the 12 most played games every two minutes, plus a server probe of the top three. If most of them report players, Roblox is up. If many drop to zero at once, or the games API stops answering, Roblox is having a platform outage, not a single-game problem.

Why does Roblox say 'error code 277' or '279'?

277 means your client lost connection to a server, usually your network or a Roblox region issue. 279 means the client failed to connect at all, often during a platform outage or when the game's servers are restarting after an update. Reinstalling rarely helps; waiting does.

How long do Roblox outages last?

Most platform-wide incidents resolve within one to three hours. The longest in recent history (October 2021) lasted about three days. Game-specific downtime for updates usually lasts under ten minutes.

Where does Roblox announce outages?

On status.roblox.com and the official Roblox account on X. BloxStatus reads the live games API directly, so it often shows a problem before the official page updates.

Can I check a specific game?

Yes. Every game on BloxStatus has an 'Is it down?' page with its own live server probe, player count and ping. Search for the game or pick it from the list above.
